The Writings of Sister Eugénie Caps reveal that a missionary vocation cannot exist without a personal experience with Christ, who resolutely invites us to continue the work of Jesus on earth, as she wrote on 21st May 1927 to Catherine Frentz: ‘‘we are called to continue the work of Jesus, therefore, we must live a deep and supernatural life, a life of complete abnegation’’.of not having Mass every fortnight on Sundays, excluding the feast days. Financially, the post at the station offered me double as much, but I could not take this into account and expose my soul and my vocation’’. Cf. My Vocation, page 72.
‘‘We formed a first little group aiming at an inner life of union with God, to be lived with Jesus. There was among us, a friendship solely based on that desire to love Jesus by a more perfect life. Yes, Jesus was much loved by these young hearts, indeed, nearly all of them received communion every morning, we also visited the poor and the sick in their homes’’.Cf. My Vocation, page 55.
Prayer: Through the intercession of Sister Eugénie Caps, Lord, we pray to you to grant us the grace of discernment, so that we can make choices that bring us always closer to You.a
