From an early age, Eugénie Caps has a heart turned to Jesus and shows great spiritual thirst. She wishes to consecrate her life to God and the missions.
‘‘Towards the age of 4, perhaps, once I was in bed, the Baby Jesus drew me to Him. It happened like this: above my bed, there was a big painting of the Child Jesus holding the globe in His hands. I would sometimes watch it for a long time… Once, was it a dream, or was it a reality, the fact is that the Child Jesus seemed alive, I was ravished, full of joy that made me happy beyond expression. I felt as if I was drawn towards that good Jesus, so nice, so sweet, with such a smiling face. When I come to myself again, I felt so inflamed for Jesus, I desired Him so much, yes, He was my all.’’ Cf. My Vocation, page 11.
Prayer: Through the intercession of Sister Eugénie Caps, we pray to you Lord, help us to become deeply aware of the meaning of our missionary consecration and to conform ourselves to it with joy.
